|Project Description||Social workers are faced with insecure environments day by day, when dealing with drug addicts, criminals, people who suffer from personality disorders, traumatized persons, the unemployed and others who live at the edge of society. |
In this research project, security threats for social workers in various fields will be identified by giving a general overview of the work conditions and analyzing exemplary case studies. Best practices (law, safety measures,..) from other countries will be shown and a manual will be developed which should help organizations and companies employing social workers in promoting safe work conditions. Additionally, the potential of cooperation between instistutions in order to prevent crime, terror and/or political radicalization will be researched.
