Core competencies

ITS Mission is to operate in the field of Computer Technology Band.
The growth of ITS, in terms of manpower and revenue will be reflected by internal and external, in the latter case using skills already present in Italy and Europe in SMEs, through a policy of stable partnership.
In this sense, special attention will be devoted to the care of the inter-relationship between Research and end users, making the ring industry, enabling the technology to be processed into useful products.
ITS philosophy is that the Government Agencies (military and civilian, national and European) should relate directly to the SMEs to revive a phase of re-acquisition technology.
This implies that SMEs on the one hand should be inter-related with international companies which are able to provide state of art competitive technology from a point of view of cost/performances in conjunction with research entities (universities and research centers) to reconstitute an independent capability in some strategical technological sectors. All these skills are held and expressed by ITS.
In terms of vertical action, ITS is targeted mainly towards Defense & Space capabilities with particular regard to biomedical applications based on the Web.
In terms of horizontal capacity, ITS aims to develop the following key skills:
Image Preparation and processing from different types of sensors (multispectral and hyperspectral electro-optical, radar, etc..);
Data fusion techniques;
Integrated Systems developing the concept of distributed computing (LAN and WEB);
Complex systems using wireless links (Link 16, UHF SATCOM, GBS);
Simulation and modeling of complex scenarios also (Digital Battlefield);
Forecasting systems for forecasting short, medium and long term;
Technologies and systems based on satellite navigation (GPS and Galileo);
High End Computing for on-board distributed systems .
