Core competencies

Roberto Di Pietro is the Principal Investigator of SPRINGeR (Security and PRivacy INnovation GRoup).
SPRINGeR is a group of people (faculty, students, visitors) carrying out research on many different aspects of computer/network security, trust and privacy.

The group makes innovative work on various topics including:

- Cloud: Security and Privacy;
- Virtualization: Security and Privacy;
- Privacy and Security of distributed systems;
- Cybercrime;
- Wireless {ad hoc - Sensor} Network Security;
- Access Control (Role Mining);
- Security and privacy for RFID;
- Applied Cryptography;
- Reliable & Secure Broadcast;
- Intrusion Detection System;
- Computer Forensics.

SPRINGeR alumni can be found, both in the European and abroad, at: academic departments, research laboratories and other industrial settings.
