Core competencies

SOA Servizi Operativi Anfibi Srl has been operating on the national and international market since
2001 (www.soanfibi.it). The company deals solely with air cushion technologies, specialised in various
types of services as well as in the supply of special types of vessels to various Organisations (Italian
Ministry of Interior Affairs, Fire fighters).
Over time the company has also worked for several authorities and organisations amongst which are
the Regions, Provinces, Large Companies (Foster Wheeler, ENI, AGIP KCO), Research Centres and
Universities (CNR/Irpi, CNR/ISMAR, University of Ferrara, La Sapienza di Roma, AIPO, etc).
Within this perspective the company has offered services of different types, giving importance to
tackling tasks of different varieties and to the innovative aspect, the final aim being to find new
operative criteria and methodologies thus contributing to the internal intellectual resources of the
company.
The Company aims at high quality and has a unique know-how (that is reserved and of the company’s
property) that is recognised within the industrial and scientific environments so much so that it has
permitted SOA to propose and access, in the meantime involving other important partners, European
funding for the first time to realise a special vessel, the HoverSpill (www.hoverspill.eu) the aim of
which being for use in emergency situations and for the cleaning of affected areas during oil spills,
including all vulnerable areas which are otherwise impossible to reach with traditional vessels
(beaches, lagoons, river areas etc.).
Other acquired technologies, currently in development, are those related to the study and proposal of
different operative solutions within the defence sector (Border Surveillance), the Fire Brigade and the
Civil Protection in various hydrological and ecological environments.
