Core competencies

Das Energieinstitut ist im Bereich der Sicherheitsforschung vor allem bei der Abschätzung vorhandener oder zukünftiger monetärer Schäden durch Katastrophen, Umweltveränderungen, etc. tätig. Es hat dabei eine eigenständige Methodik zur Monetarisierung von vorrangig nicht-monetären Schäden bei Haushalten entwickelt. Dies ist etwa der verlorene Erholungswert von Haushalten während eines Stromausfalls.
