Today the group is working on the development of eco-friendly extraction methods that are aimed to the recovery of
industrial wastes. Advanced analytical techniques are used for the detection of nutrients in foods (liquid
chromatography and gas chromatography, atomic absorption, spectrophotometric methods, etc.).
In addition, the research team is actively working on the development of innovative food products and beverages for
people with common diseases such as diabetes and celiac disease.
