Core competencies

The main tasks of Police and Border Guard Board are the securing of the external border of the European Union; the
determination of citizenship and issue of documents; security and public order in the state; and the investigation and
prevention of offences.

The main tasks for the Analysis Service is to develop crime and strategic analysis and to support strategic and
operational decision making and everyday activities of the police.

The Analysis Service has the competence in development of different analysis, implementation of innovative ICT
technologies for analysis and illustration of findings. The Analysis Service is searching for partners (end users,
research institutions and developers) for research and development of innovative solutions for heterogeneous data
gathering, information exchange, analysis techniques, support of end users and develpment of analsis networks
between LEAs.
