Core competencies

Next Limit is a software development company specialized in simulation technologies.
The mission of Next Limit Technologies is to provide cutting edge physical simulation technologies as
software tools for a broad range of applications in Computer Graphics, Science and Engineering.

Next Limit is carrying out an extensively research in computational fluid and light simulation
techniques.
Next Limit has an extensively research in computational fluid simulation. Next Limit has developed
two different technologies for different industries: a tool for creating dramatic, accurate and realistic
fluid effects and an accurate fluid simulation tool for engineering and scientific purposes.
Next Limit is also specialized in state-of-the-art rendering technology based on the physical equations
governing light transport. This approach enables users to digitally create highly accurate and
believable imagery of the real world. This methodology produces incredibly realistic illumination
without resorting to the tricks and approximations used by many current industry standard renderers.

Next Limit has made progress in different fields, applying its know-how to diverse problems in which
its simulation concepts can be well suited or adapted, like traffic, crowd simulation, optical
properties, terrain flooding, tsunami effects, atmospheric simulation (dust, smoke, gases)… The
combination of fluid and light simulation technologies let Next Limit explore new innovative solutions
for complex scenarios that involves both concepts, like the simulation of the optical properties of a
tunnel under smoke and fire.

Next Limit is especially interested in complex physical processes that are difficult to simulate using
traditional models. Next Limit proposes new simulation paradigms to reach complexity using
innovative techniques and knowledge from different fields.
