Core competencies

Diego Gonzalez-Aguilera got a PhD in Computer Vision and Photogrammetry in 2005 from University of Salamanca and
now he leads the Cartographic and Land Engineering Department and the TIDOP Research Unit of the University of
Salamanca (http://tidop.usal.es). His research interests include geospatial data collection and processing, complex sites
and critical infrastructures digitalization, 3D modelling, sensor and data integration. Author of over 100 scientific
publications in impact journals and more than 10 books. He received 6 international awards and 10 national awards. He
is an Assistant Professor at the University of Salamanca (with accreditation for Full Professor). He is member of the
ISPRS, where he is serving as Secretary of the Working Group on Terrestrial 3D Modelling: Algorithms and Methods and
regularly as a Program Committee Member of conferences and a Reviewer for related journals.
