the broadest sense, including privacy protection, data and information management, e-business,
intellectual property and telecommunications. Its activities cover all legal issues encountered in
the creation, management and exploitation of information and technology, in all of its diverse
forms.

The time.lex team has extensive experience in most aspects of information and technology law, both
from a pragmatic perspective as lawyers at the bar of Brussels, and from a scientific perspective as
former or current academics at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Law and ICT of the University of Leuven
(K.U.Leuven). Members of the team have been involved in more than 30 of the most prestigious EU
projects in the area of privacy and identity management, including PRIME, PRIMELIFE, PICOS, TAS3,
FIDIS, FutureID, PARIS, PRIPARE, STORK,CLOUD4EUROPE, etc.

time.lex is currently providing legal expertise in 7 Horizon 2020 actions: AEGLE, LightTRUST, KONFIDO,
WADI, TOOP, CITADEL and DECIDE.

The time.lex team is specifically known for its European policy studies in a variety of subjects, including
intellectual property protection, cloud services, privacy and personal data protection, electronic
signatures, electronic identity management, digital forensics, e-health, e-business and e-government, in
which they can rely on an extensive network of IT law experts covering all European countries. Several
of these policy studies are published on the website of the European Commission. One of the strongest
assets of time.lex, besides the quality of a stable team of experienced professional and practice-
oriented lawyers, is in its role as a bridge between the R&D environment and the EU policy decision-
making process.
