Core competencies

I hold a PhD in Physics and am currently working for the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI). My
research group is focused on atmospheric dispersion of hazardous substances and related topics. This
field include development of models, validation, field trials, case studies and inverse modelling at the
scales indoor, urban, local and global. To manage all these situations we use a palette of models such as
Lagrangian puff and particle models, CFD and network analysis. Other neighbouring questions of
interest are optimization of detector positions and meteorological modelling. The models and systems
are gathered in a custom made digital system called FOI Dispersion Engine that allows for integration
into external systems.
I lead a long-term project for modelling the medical consequences following exposure to hazardous
substances, i.e. toxicology modelling, radiation dosages and epidemiology studies. To obtain a high
scientific level in all these areas we include expertise from other research groups at FOI.
In summary, my research group include expertise in: Dispersion in the atmosphere, dispersion in the
ground, aerosol dynamics, meteorology, mathematics, CFD, inverse modelling, health risk assessment
(toxicology radiation dosage and disease modelling), epidemiology and constructions of digital systems.
