Core competencies

I am the research group leader of the ambient intelligence & web technologies group in the Intelligent
Systems
research Centre at Ulster University. We can bring a number of strengths to the project. Our group
focuses on areas
of expertise such as cyber security, mobile devices, web based software, network security & routing,
collaborative
social network technologies and applying all sorts of intelligent machine learning artificial intelligence
techniques. I
have cultivated an international reputation for research into indoor localisation & computer security. We
also have
experience in accessing remote sensors/systems and integrating them with cloud based systems. We have
built up
modern experience in developing well design UX interfaces for software and we believe this would be
useful in this
proposal. We also have expertise in security, big data commercialization and web mining in applied
settings. We
currently have 16 full time members in this group.
