Core competencies
CNRS PASSAGES is a pluridisciplinary Social Sciences Research Center located in Bordeaux and Pau, France, gathering
geographers, sociologists, political scientists, psychologists, anthropologists, economists, urban planners,
landscapers and architects with a total number of 115 researchers, 97 PhD students and 19 administrative staff
support.
The scientific project of the Research Center focuses on the reconfigurations of spatialities and on global changes,
studied through 3 different focals: transition, mediation and representations.
The main fields of expertise of the researchers are as follows:
- Territories and territorialities
- Environment
- Processes of normalization of reality
- The body, the bodies, and the subject
The Research Center is active in a wide range of national and international projects among which HERA, INTERREG,
ANR BMBF and TGIR Huma Num projects.
