Core competencies

EURAC is a private, non-profit research center located in multilingual South Tyrol (Italy). Established in 1992,
EURAC comprises 14 research institutes that are organized in four main research areas: Languages, Minorities, and
Autonomies; Mountains; Health; Technologies. Several service departments support researchers with project
management, science communication, and legal and intellectual property rights. Center for Sensing Solutions (CSS)
is a competence center within EURAC that advances the technological development in South Tyrol. The CSS aims at
supporting researchers in data acquisition, processing, and interpretation, and it promotes the collaboration
between research and business in digital transformation in areas such as environmental monitoring and intelligent
agriculture. The CSS develops cutting-edge technological solutions (e.g., web applications, IoT services, decision
support systems) to optimize research results and business processes.
