Core competencies

ATAC SpA is the Public Transport (PT) operator of Rome (Italy), fully owned by the Municipality of Rome “Roma
Capitale”. With more than 12.000 employees, ATAC today is one of the biggest public transport companies currently
operating in Europe (the first one in Italy). The company, with more than 100 years of history, manages both surface
and underground collective transport services. The company owns 11 depots for vehicles maintenance (9 for bus, 1 for
tram and 1 for trolleybus). Maintenance activity of metro and railways is carried out in other 4 depots (managed by
OGR Roma Srl, a company owned by Atac). In addition ATAC manages on-street metered parking lots and 30 Park and
Ride areas near the terminals of extra-urban or regional lines or near underground or local railway stations.
