Core competencies

Established in 2002 headquartered in Rome, Global Technologies Italia collaborates with a wide range of
public institutions and private companies, developing security solutions; we got the opportunity to work
as external partner for Homeland Security EU financed projects:
- INTERREG CARDS/PHARE 2004/2006: “Strategie di contrasto nei traffici internazionali del crimine
organizzato”, Comune di Campobasso
- REGIONE PUGLIA POR PUGLIA 2000-2006 (Co-financed by EU FESR), PIT2
In both cases we developed an auto-poietic web platform using mathematical algorithms to identify
strategies against urban criminality traffics.
This platform is a combination of a scientific model and tools to detect and evaluate traffic
evolutions and risks for citizens in open or semi-open environments but it has been designed to
respond to different purposes.
Lately, under the guidance of Prof. Gerardo Iovane, we won 2 Italian financing tender from the
Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico: our contribution in both these 2 projects (for a total financing of
2,3Millions of euro) is to design and develop the Core and User Interfaces on the following systems:
- SALPAK (System Advanced for Logistics, Packaging and Tracking): a real-time tracking system of
critical materials (like pharmaceutical, radio-active, garbage…) integrating biometrical, Rfid, WSN and
Mobile device applications;
- SHUMS (Smart Human Mobile Services): an infrastructure to ensure real-time assistance of elderly,
disabled, victims of natural disasters or terrorist attacks, people placed in inaccessible or difficult to
reach locations, monitoring both the environment and human vital parameters.
