Founded in 1989, POLYMAGE is a Nice, France based company specializing in materials
engineering. The company has focused its efforts to become an expert in Adaptive and
Chromogenic (thermo-, photo-, mechano- and electrochromics) Materials and Systems and
their Applications.
The POLYMAGE offer is transversal and addresses the needs of various industries such as
packaging, building envelope, household appliances, and lighting. POLYMAGE both carries out
R&D and proposes services as a Design Office.
For adaptive materials and their applications, POLYMAGE develops and delivers innovative
tailor-made solutions. Those materials are created on the basis of numerous in-house
formulations, using either organic or inorganic materials, complex encapsulation processes,
nano-materials (nano-oxides, nano-metals, nano-clays, carbon nanotubes) micro- or nanocomposites.
Processing methods (spinning, coating…) have been developed and applied to
industrial fabrications.
POLYMAGE is the coordinator of a FP7 project to be launched Q3-2012 under the theme
EeB.NMP.2012-5.
At the French National Level, POLYMAGE is member of 4 competitiveness clusters.
