Core competencies
Emergency services end-user organization. Research and development activities in rescues services mandated by the Ministry of the Interior. Coordination of rescue services research in Finland. Information and communication systems research; scenario planning and descriptions; emergency organizations process knowledge; training and education of fire officers, ERC operators and other crisis management domain employees; testing & validation of products, processes, materials etc.; simulation environments (e.g. command & control rooms, TETRA simulation environment), 30+ hectars of training grounds with sensor networks and facilities to experiment various emergency and crisis scenarios in realistic conditions.
