The research group (Analytical Chemistry for Life -ACL) is a multidisciplinary team made up of professionals with
experience in the field of chemistry, food technology and nutrition.
The research team has experience in the field of applied analytical, mainly in the food field. Over the years he has
developed different methods of analysis of different food matrices such as oil, fats, essential oils, eggs, beverages,
etc.
Today the group is working on the development of eco-friendly extraction methods that are aimed to the recovery of
industrial wastes. Advanced analytical techniques are used for the detection of nutrients in foods (liquid
chromatography and gas chromatography, atomic absorption, spectrophotometric methods, etc.).
In addition, the research team is actively working on the development of innovative food products and beverages for
people with common diseases such as diabetes and celiac disease.
