Core competencies
The research of our group focuses on Risk and Resilience Management of Complex Socio-Technical
Systems.
Critical Infrastructure Protection and Resilience – investigating technical, organisational and social
aspects, governance models, risk & resilience assessment methods, and the promotion of good
practices through the involvement of all stakeholders.
Health Care Resilience research – including the design of solutions to the resilience assessment of
mission-critical health services.
We are one of the founding members of the Critical Infrastructure Resilience International Network
(https://www.cirint.net/). The CIRINT was initiated and is guided by cooperating regional and national
governments, with participation from a variety of sectors and disciplines. It was established as an
outcome of a CIP-R related projects at Politecnico di Milano.
